Capco, a Wipro company, has been named Best European Consultancy in Data Management for the fifth year in a row at the annual A-Team Data Management Insight Europe Awards, which recognise established solution vendors and innovative newcomers providing leading data management solutions, services and consultancy to capital markets participants across Europe.
Capco’s global Data Practice comprises over 1,300 data practitioners dedicated to partnering with financial institutions to unlock business value through data. We partner with clients across the data value chain – enabling them to understand and trust their data, acquire and curate it effectively, and generate measurable impact and ROI.
“To win this prestigious award for the fifth year in a row is at once a huge honour and a testament to the quality and consistency of the work that our data practitioners deliver every single day,” says Chris Probert, Partner, Global Data & Analytics Lead of Capco’s Data Practice. “With the increased adoption of generative and agentic AI in 2025, we are helping banks move beyond isolated pilots to scalable, embedded and controlled AI solutions.”
As Chris notes, the Data practice is partnering with clients to run AI programmes, establish and embed AI operating models, and engineer and embed AI solutions into business operations. “We are also embedding streamlined AI governance and unstructured data management at scale – capabilities that are essential to ensuring responsible AI and high-quality business outcomes,” he adds.
Focused investment in AI-led innovations is enabling the practice to deliver material cost reductions for our clients, says Joe Forooghian, Head of Data Strategy & Advisory at Capco: “Chief Data Offices in particular are under intense pressure to demonstrate their value commercially, operationally and strategically, and we are very focused on helping them to accelerate outcomes, reduce friction and turn intelligence into measurable business impact more cheaply and at scale.”
A real-world example of this work involves global investment banks, where the team is implementing agentic solutions for data quality, metadata management, and lineage. Initially incubated in Capco’s global AI Labs, these solutions are significantly reducing the cost of operations in the CDO.
Other AI Labs solutions are delivering cost and efficiency gains with our banking clients using generative AI. These include Legacy Modernization, which delivers up to 75% productivity gains in refactoring legacy architectures, and Compliance Assist, which is saving up to 10 minutes per call in call centers.
Capco is also committed to ongoing investment in the future of the data and AI workforce. Our Associate Data Programme (ADP) is gender-balanced by design, and we maintain strong partnerships with Women in Data and other leading diversity organisations.
The Data practice also delivers pro-bono services through Capco’s Impact Consulting initiative. For Cranfield Trust (CT), the team developed a tailored data and analytics solution to improve portfolio insight and identify organisational strengths. The team also provided analytics training and helped CT establish its own capabilities – enhancing its regulatory reporting, funding efforts, and service to charities.
“We extend our sincere congratulations to Capco on securing the Best European Consultancy in Data Management award,” says Angela Wilbraham, CEO at A-Team Group and host of the annual Data Management Insight Awards Europe 2025. “The data management landscape continues to evolve at pace, and these awards are a crucial recognition of the firms who are delivering truly impactful solutions, services, and consultancy to Europe’s capital markets.”
