How Capco Helped An Investment Bank Leverage Real-Time Trading Flow Tools

INTRODUCTION

Our client had a vision to connect multiple internal data sources from within the business and merge them with critical real-time market data to power a new suite of trading flow dashboards. This cutting-edge idea would be constructed by leveraging the bank’s already significant investment within its own internal IT infrastructure to create a unified data source which would then be overlayed by bespoke, real-time data visualizations. The CTO found the ideal partner in Capco, as we were able to bring our innate digital expertise and deep capital markets domain experience, to establish the program and introduce a suite of tools into their sales and trading environment.  

WHY NOW: 

More than ever before, a competitive advantage in capital markets relies on making faster, smarter, data-driven decisions.   • Embed a lean, agile team of designers, developers, and project management resources directly into the client’s technology team to seek out, identify and extract all relevant data sources
  • Create initial plans to construct a web-based trade flow dashboard for Equities traders and Management within the Americas line of business
  • Establish the necessary governance and approval processes for data inclusion in these informational dashboards
  • Successfully execute all stages of the software development lifecycle.

The solution is now available on every trader’s desk, smart phone and is also broadcast on global trading floor monitors helping guide the banks investment and risk management decisions each and every second of the global trading day.
