CAPCO ENHANCES UI/UX OF FINANCIAL SERVICES TRADING APP 

INTRODUCTION

A UK-based investment company wanted to improve the design of their mobile application, a market-leading financial services trading solution. The client has a wide customer base, but the app had been receiving negative customer feedback. Capco’s UI and UX expertise were leveraged to successfully enhance the app’s look and feel.

HOW WE DID IT 

Capco were chosen, based on our track-record of designing mobile apps with exceptional customer experience and an engineering function capable of building and delivering apps quickly, to audit the app, help develop bug fixes and refinements, and carry out UX and visual upgrades across the app. 

  • The delivery of this piece of work was built around an agile workflow. Our project manager, designer, and in-house developers worked in fortnightly sprints with the client to perform the required changes  
  • The small team worked closely with the client’s product owner and product testers to smoothly deliver an improved app user experience 
  • As well as an improved user experience, Capco developed a number of key new features to improve the app’s stability, as well as introduce new capabilities around secure messaging, news feeds, and more 
  • The app was successfully relaunched to both iOS and Android app stores.  

WHAT WE DELIVERED:

The engagement has been well-received by the client and has provided a more contemporary design to the app. With new design updates as well as enhanced features built into the app, the client is confident the customer feedback will continue to improve. These features include:  

  • Biometric authentication

  • Trade journey flow 
  • Account overview 
  • Search 
  • Secure messaging 
  • News feeds  
  • Stock price charts 

Furthermore, subsequent to the upgrade, we are delighted to report that the client’s app ratings have risen significantly, from 1.4 to 4.4 on Apple iOS and from 1.6 to 4.1 on Android stores. Two years on, Capco continues to maintain and update the app so it can continue to provide maximum value for its growing userbase.
